What Do I Need Join?
You will be asked to take a test to establish your level of English. If this course is not suitable you will be able to take a literacy certificate.Area Of Study:
Throughout the course you will focus on building up your skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. You will read a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts and learn to understand how writers use language to interest the reader. You will also improve the fluency and accuracy of your writing and have the opportunity to take part in discussions and a range of other spoken activities.Assessment:
You will be assessed in the following ways. Two written exams (60% of GCSE) Speaking and listening (20% of GCSE) Coursework - 4 assignments (20% of GCSE)Weekly Commitment:
You will receive 2 hours supportive teaching per week.This is an intensive course and a minimum of 80% attendance is vital.
