This course will empower individuals to play an active role in supporting learners and develop skills, knowledge and confidence in their journey as a mentor.

What will I need to join this course?

A basic level of literacy and an enjoyment of working with people.

Course content:

Looking at issues which are relevant to society today e.g. different learning styles, education system and agencies which may be able to support learners. This course will emphasise the value of diversity in learning.

Who is this course for?

This I for anyone interested in working with young people in a supportive capacity.

How will students be assessed?

Mainly though a portfolio. Students will be expected to keep a learning journal, participate in group work, roles plays and written assessments.

This is an intensive course and a minimum 80% attendance level vital.
