The Meriton's News

The Meriton has a reputation for being an active and exciting place. From winning national education awards to running activites like canoeing and working with theatre groups there is so much going on, we thought you might like to know!

Bristol Term Dates 2010-2011

The following dates have been agreed for Bristol community and voluntary controlled schools for the 2010/2011 school year:

Term 1 Wednesday 1 September to Friday 22 October 2010
Term 2 Monday 1 November to Friday 17 December 2010
Term 3 Tuesday 4 January to Friday 18 February 2011
Term 4 Monday 28 February to Friday 8 April 2011
Term 5 Tuesday 26 April to Friday 27 May 2011
Term 6 Monday 6 June to Friday 22 July 2011

As well as the breaks in between terms, there will be up to 5 days throughout the year when school will be closed for staff training and meetings. We will publish details of these INSET days once each has been scheduled.

The Meriton's New Website...

The Meriton have spent the last few months working on a new website which we're now proud to show off!

Having worked hard to create a space that is useful to both the school and the community at large we hope that it willl be a source of information for teenagers and young parents everywhere!

The site provides links to local resources, websites and places where parents, young adults and even careworkers can seek help and advice on sexual education, sexual health and education.
