The Meriton Nursery
The Meriton's nursery is staffed by 7 fully qualified Early Years Practitioners, all of whom have extensive experience in caring for young children.
The nursery environment consists of indoor and outdoor spaces with a separate sleep room and conservatory. Children are also able to share the garden of the adjoining nursery school. The outdoor area is an extension of the indoor learning space and children are encouraged to be active and learn though play.
The Meriton's aim:
We provide a high quality of childcare which fosters a happy, secure and nurturing environment. The nursery follows the principle of the Early Years Foundation Stage.Staffing:
There is a staff ratio of 1:3 and each child is allocated a key member of staff who is responsible for maintaining learning profiles and planning for every childs interests and needs. The nursery staff are involved in the wider school environment and contribute to Childcare courses and promoting practical parenting skills. Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s learning process and staff are always available to provide support and guidance.
Students need to be aware that a nursery place is not guaranteed but Care to Learn funding is available to enable students to access other local child care provision. Nursery staff support parents in finding local child care.
